Steam punk, making things look victorian and brass era, steam powered... that's the idea. It has a lot of aspects though, here's a few
1930's France it seems, because just to the left of the motorwheel is a Citreon Traction Avant
Steam powered ditch digger.. .that is a monster
Cadillac tow truck, for more cars converted into tow trucks see: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/12/tow-trucks-were-sometimes-made-from-big.html
Johnny Cash and the 1986 Steam Expo. Very cool. Two times.
the above is the Lanz bulldog, 1 cylinder, compression ignition powered
all of these are just an indication of how cool http://steampunkvehicles.tumblr.com/ is Tuesday, March 15, 2011
Allrides has some cool stuff you oughta see
Just the thing to keep a farmer dry when using the tractor in the rain.
There are some things that have been done with VW vans that are a surprise to me, but making a bead blaster cabinet is pretty cool and useful, the waterfall in the garden... mighty unusual

a full size 4 door Caprice snow machine is a first.
see these and all the rest at http://allride.skynetblogs.be/index-12.html

Cool old russian vehicles!
1913 Russobalt Type-Kegresse

1939–1946. Total 33 840 units were produced. This truck is powered by gas generator that used firewood (or coal) to produce gas that powers the engine. Because of this it has low power and speed, it is difficult to service and not so easy to start up. But because the lack of gasoline in some north regions this truck was indispensable.
Yag -12 all four front tires steer, 1932 to 1941
This is a 1956 4 wheel drive airplane towtruck, and can be switched to just front wheel drive. (only 13 made)Saturday, August 7, 2010
Some cool rat rods, from the dedicated Tumbler... Rat Rods Rule!
Doesn't that make you smile?
Must be owned by a diver, or a really innovative customizer
See a gallery of the above South carolina prison bus rat rod at John's: http://oleragtop.blogspot.com/2009/11/yeah-turkey-rod-run-is-coming-this.html
The above green car... looks like a new idea in rat rods, take a newer than 1960 vehicle and made a rat rod from it by getting rid of all the body work forward of the firewall. This one looks like a Buick, but I can't recall the model
I don't think I've ever seen a rod quite like this, unless you count the early dragsters from the 50's that were using a long wheel base chassis to set back the body for weight transfer to aid traction.
