Icons of hot rodding, Offy, Weiand, Eddie Meyer, Navarro, Halibrand, Italmeccanica

Phil Weiand the man, was injured (1934) in his 20's doing about 110 on public streets when his roadster spun and flipped, paralyzing him fromt he waist down. He'd traded a mandolin for his first jalopy at age 14, and worked at making it faster from that day on. During WW2 he was melting all the spare aluminum he could find and was making intakes that were better than the competition and in demand by the best. http://www.nitrogeezers.com/Legends%20-%20Phil%20Weiand.htm
